Proposed updates to the COMBINE Manual 2006

The following changes/additions are proposed by:

1. ICES/HELCOM Steering Group on Quality Assurance of Chemical Measurements in the Baltic Sea (STGQAC), Working Group Report 2006:

• New Chapter: B.4.3. on Validation of data

• Amendments to: B.2.7 Quality Audit + ANNEX B-3 QUALITY AUDIT

• Amendments to: B.4.2.3 Limit of detection, limit of quantification

• Amendments to: B.5 Routine quality control (use of control charts)

• Amendments to: Annex B-12, Appendix 5 Technical note on the determination of total mercury in marine biota

2. ICES/OSPAR/HELCOM Steering Group on Quality Assurance of Biological Measurements  (STGQAB):

• addition of missing tables and figures to Annex C7
