New Executive Secretary for HELCOM

Anne Christine Brusendorff (left) handed over the duties of the HELCOM Executive Secretary to Monika Stankiewicz.
Monika Stankiewicz started on 1 February 2012 as the new HELCOM Executive Secretary. Ms. Stankiewicz is already familiar to many as the former Professional Secretary of RESPONSE and MARITIME Groups, the position she held for over five years years with great success.
Before the Commission, Monika Stankiewicz worked in the Polish public administration, including the Chief Inspectorate for Environmental Protection, and was involved in the national work on the protection of the Baltic Sea and HELCOM cooperation.
Statement from the newly appointed Executive Secretary will soon be available in HELCOM website (in the section 'About HELCOM')
