Connecting Europe - Smart and Green Partnerships
Networking Village at the premises of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.
EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn (centre) of the DG Regio of European Commission visited HELCOM at the Networking Village stand. HELCOM Executive Secretary briefed him on challenges in protecting the marine environment of the Baltic Sea and recent HELCOM activities.
Priority Area 14 on Macro-regional risks was discussed at the opposite stand of the Village.
HELCOM Secretariat also took more active part in some of the Forum’s programme activities.
The Executive Secretary Monika Stankiewicz spoke in the parallel Session entitledSustainable Water Management and Public-Private Partnerships: Scenarios and Benchmarks for Reducing Pollution in the Baltic Sea.
Professional Secretary Maria Laamanen took the stage for a brief presentation on Approaching Five Years since the Adoption of the Baltic Sea Action Plan.
