PURE project workshop in St. Petersburg
On 15-16 May 2012 PURE delegation visited St. Petersburg Vodokanal’s water museum, underground exhibition and two main waste water treatment plants of St. Petersburg: Central WWTP on Bely Island and newly reconstructed South-West WWTP. The visits enabled experience exchange between treatment plant managers and operators from both PURE partners and St. Petersburg Vodokanal.
"Site visits in general are very useful – to see in practice what solutions other treatment plants have. St. Petersburg was especially useful regarding our current plans to change our sludge management system," described production manager Andra Pärnamäe from Järve Biopuhastus water company in Kohtla-Järve, Estonia.
