The Helsinki Commission (HELCOM) works to protect the marine environment of the Baltic Sea from all sources of pollution through intergovernmental co-operation between Denmark, Estonia, the European Community, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia and Sweden.

We are currently in search of a scientific assistant to join our team at the HELCOM International Secretariat in Helsinki, Finland.

 

As part of our team you would

  • summarize and draft concisely from bulky scientific reports
  • assist in displaying and visualizing results of scientific reports
  • assist in preparing information material and presentations
  • quality check documents and other material
  • assist in arranging multinational meetings
  • provide assistance to our experts

 To fit in our team you should

  • have experience in international civil service and an appropriate educational background
  • have high social competence and ability to build both internal and external network
  • be able to work on your own but also as a positive team member
  • have excellent communication skills in English
  • have high competence in PC skills

The new assistant is expected to start working ASAP.
