The aim of the event is to shed further light on the implementation of the Baltic Sea NECA - Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) Emission Control Area (ECA) – under Annex VI of the MARPOL.

* HELCOM-BONUS Stakeholder Conference: Future research needs of the Baltic Sea

Monday 4 March 2013, 8:30-16:00

The conference reinforces the synergies of HELCOM and BONUS in efforts related to environmental policy and sustainable development.

* HELCOM’s 34^th Annual Meeting

Tuesday-Wednesday 5-6 March 2013

All the Contracting Parties of HELCOM, consisting of the Baltic Sea coastal states and the EU will discuss the progress towards reaching the targets set in Baltic Sea Action Plan, contributing to preparations of the HELCOM Ministerial Meeting in Copenhagen on 3 October, 2013.
