Report on the status of Russian Hot Spots

 

The BASE project is supporting Russia in the preparation of materials on the current state of affairs with Russian “hot spots” of the JCP Programme for the consolidated report of the Secretariat to be delivered at the Ministerial Мeeting in October 2013. The analysis was carried out by Environmental monitoring, management, audit and consulting Ltd. (EcoMMAK).  

 

In order to obtain up-to-date information on the current status of affairs at the remaining Russian Hot Spots, EcoMMAK compiled a questionnaire. The questionnaire was sent to the authorities of the city of St. Petersburg and of Kaliningrad and Leningrad Regions as well as to the representatives of enterprises and organizations included in the “hot spots” list. On the basis of the information obtained,  EcoMMAK came up with recommendations regarding the possible exclusion of the Hot Spots from the list.
