On the Finnish side of PA3, the location of buildings, roads and shipping/boating lanes in the vicinity of a lagoon were used to determine the classification, on the Swedish side, a pier data set was used as a surrogate to buildings and roads. The input data has been produced by Finnish Environment Institute (lagoon delineations on the Finnish side), National Land Survey of Finland (buildings and roads), Finnish Maritime Administration (shipping/boating lanes on the Finnish side), Naturvårdsverket (lagoon delineations on the Swedish side and pier data) and Sjöfartsverket (shipping/boating lanes on the Swedish side).
